WHO

WE

ARE.

City Guide List was born from a simple observation: in an era of digital distraction and isolation, there is a profound hunger for authentic connection. While the digital world offers endless feeds and algorithms, discovering meaningful, local experiences has become increasingly difficult.

Inspired by the legacy of local journalism and the classic "weekend sections" of regional newspapers, we believe a guide should be more than just a list of dates. It should be a curated roadmap to the culture, art, and community that exists right in our backyard.

Why We Curate

We recognize that the best parts of the Maryland region—the "hidden gems" and vibrant gatherings—are often drowned out by commercial noise. Our mission is to serve as a filter, highlighting the events that encourage people to unplug and engage.

  • Independent & Non-Commercial: Our selections are driven by community value, not advertising or sponsorships.

  • Quality Over Quantity: We cut through the clutter to hand-pick the 100+ most impactful experiences each month.

  • Community-Centric: We focus on the live music, arts, and cultural festivals that serve as the heartbeat of our towns and cities.

Our Goal

Whether you are a lifelong local or a curious visitor, City Guide List is designed to help you close your laptop and head out the door. We do the work of finding the best events so you can focus on the joy of a shared experience.
